Description
The Chase ACT 1.2 Carbon Frame in Black/Grey is a uni-directional carbon monocoque BMX race frame from the line that won UCI World Cup Championships and the USA BMX #1 Pro title. Over the past 2 years the ACT has won more UCI and USA BMX Elite Men's Pro races than any other frame, and Connor Fields and Joris Daudet rode the ACT 1.2 for over 10 months before it was released. The update adds more chain clearance for bigger gears, more disc caliper clearance with the optional Elevn disc adapter, and a matte finish with gloss graphics.
Features
- Carbon monocoque frame built from UD (uni-direction) carbon fiber, chosen for its tensile strength and low weight
- Integrated tapered head tube, 1-1/8" top and 1.5" OS bottom, with reinforced alloy cup
- Internal brake cable routing and recessed brake bosses
- Chase aero seat post system with integrated quick release seat clamp
- Press Fit integrated BB86 bottom bracket with reinforced alloy cup
- Extra length reinforced stainless steel 20mm dropouts with built-in alloy tensioner, plus a 10mm (3/8) axle adapter
- 2 chain tensioner systems, internal and external, so you can use the full length of the rear dropout when running the optional Elevn disc brake adapter

- Elevn monocoque carbon aero seat post, 27.2 diameter, 110mm length, in matching color
- 20mm dropout frame plates installed, plus a 10mm (3/8″) dropout frame plate set
- 20mm and 10mm (3/8″) chain tensioner blocks; 15mm blocks sold separately in Black Anodized only
- Outer chain tensioner bolts installed, internal chain tensioner bolts included

Frame details
Aero seat post: the aero seat post tube, seat post and clamp (shared with the Chase ACT 1.0 and RSP 4.0 frames) help gain fractions of a second on the track and give a slightly stiffer feel.
Press Fit bottom bracket: the bottom bracket you supply has its bearings in cups that press into the frame, so there are no BB threads to damage as with a traditional Euro BB.
Tapered head tube: 1 1/8" upper to 1.5" lower diameter. Run a tapered steerer fork, or a full 1 1/8" steerer fork with the 1.5" lower bearing when the headset has an optional 1 1/8" to 1.5" fork race.
Internal cable routing: the brake cable runs through the top tube for a factory look, and because it doesn't rub the frame, the cable and graphics stay protected.
