Description
Legion L18 – 18" Complete BMX Bike
The Legion L18 is an 18" complete BMX bike built for younger riders who are ready for a proper BMX experience but are not yet sized for a full 20" bike. It is constructed with a hi-ten steel frame and spec'd with components appropriate for the size and riding intensity of its intended age group. A purpose-built smaller BMX rather than a scaled-down department store bike, giving younger riders a legitimate platform to begin developing real skills.
Key Features
- Hi-ten steel frame – High-tensile steel is a durable, impact-resistant frame material well suited to the demands of beginner riding. It is heavier than chromoly but holds up reliably to the types of crashes and rough handling common with younger, developing riders
- 18" x 2.3" tires – An 18" wheel is a practical intermediate size between 16" kids' bikes and full 20" BMX, giving younger riders better bike control and a more proportionate fit. The 2.3" width provides adequate grip and cushioning for park and street use at this scale
- 1-piece steel crankset – Simple, durable, and low-maintenance. A 1-piece crank is appropriate for the riding intensity at this level and requires no additional BB hardware, keeping the drivetrain straightforward to service
- Alloy U-brake – Provides reliable rear braking in a lightweight, low-profile format suited to BMX geometry. Alloy construction keeps brake weight manageable on a bike sized for smaller riders where overall weight has a more noticeable effect on handling

Compatibility and Ideal Use Cases
The L18 ships fully assembled and ready to ride. As an 18" BMX, it uses non-standard wheel sizing relative to the 20" BMX market, which means tire and wheel replacement options are more limited than with a full 20" build — verify part availability before planning upgrades. The frame, bars, stem, and brake are standard enough that basic component swaps are possible as parts wear. Best suited to younger riders, typically in the 5–9 age range depending on height, who have outgrown 16" bikes but are not yet ready for the handling demands of a full 20" BMX. Not intended for adult riders or high-impact use beyond age-appropriate beginner riding.
