Chase RSP 5.0 Frame Black / Holographic

The Chase RSP 5.0 in Black / Holographic is a 7005-T6 aluminum BMX race frame with high gloss black paint and limited edition holographic graphics. Hydroformed, butted tubing, internal brake routing and enclosed 10mm dropouts make it a light, stiff, disc-brake-only platform, offered in 20" sizes from Mini to Pro XXXL plus 24" Cruiser Pro and Cruiser Pro +.

SpeedLite 7005-T6 alloy, used with Chase's hydroforming process to keep strength up and frame weight down.

Triple-butted tubes have three wall thicknesses along their length. On the RSP 5.0 this cuts tube weight by 15% compared to the previous year's frame tubes.

Tapered tubing uses several wall thicknesses in one tube: reinforced at stress points, lighter where extra material is not needed.

Hydroformed main tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas, reducing flex both ways.

Aero seat tube, built for the aero seat post and seat post clamp, for small aerodynamic gains and a slightly stiffer feel.

Muscle-formed chain stays and seat stays give the back end its stiffness and shape.

Restructured dropouts for better disc brake caliper clearance. Like the RSP 4.0, they are built to take the extra force of a disc brake and mount, and are compatible with post mount and flat mount systems.

Bio Fit sizing: a wide size range designed around rider power output.

Integrated tapered head tube, 1-1/8" upper to 1.5" lower. Runs a tapered steerer fork, or a 1-1/8" steerer with a headset that offers a 1-1/8" to 1.5" fork race.

Press Fit bottom bracket shell: the bearings sit in cups that press into the frame, so there are no BB threads to damage.

Fully enclosed, extra long (2.3" or 60mm) 10mm dropout slot with a built-in alloy tensioner, so you can use the full length of the dropout.

Internal cable routing from the head tube, through the down tube and bottom bracket, exiting the chain stay (bottom of the down tube on small sizes). Protects the brake line and graphics from rub.

Geometry

Frame weights are measured exactly as the frame arrives: with paint, decals and clear coat.

Please note: non-silicone-based brake fluid acts like paint thinner and can make paint and decals peel. Do not let brake fluid touch any part of the bike.
