Chase RSP 5.0 Frame Cement / Teal

The Chase RSP 5.0 in Cement / Teal is a BMX race frame built from hydroformed, butted 7005-T6 aluminum. It runs fully internal brake routing, enclosed dropouts with built-in tensioners and a disc-only rear end, with 20", OS20 and 24" cruiser sizes from Mini through Pro XXXL.

Fitment

The rear hub needs a 3/8" (10mm) bolt-in axle: remove the axle bolts, slide the axle into the enclosed dropouts, then thread the bolts back in. Expert XL and larger take a tapered fork and a Press Fit BB86 bottom bracket; Mini, Junior and Expert take a 1-1/8" fork and a threaded Euro BSA bottom bracket. OS20 frames need an OS20 fork.

Please note: brake fluid that is not silicone-based acts like paint thinner and can make paint and decals peel. Do not let brake fluid touch any part of the bike.

7005-T6 SpeedLite alloy, matched to the hydroforming process for core strength with low frame weight.

Triple-butted tubes: three wall thicknesses along the tube, cutting tube weight by 15% compared to the previous year's tubes.

Tapered tubing: multiple wall thicknesses in the same tube, reinforced where stress is highest and lighter elsewhere, for better strength and fatigue life at less weight.

Hydroformed tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas, reducing flex in both directions.

Aero seat tube shape, built for an aero seat post and aero clamp: less drag and a slightly stiffer feel.

Muscle-formed chain stays and seat stays shape the back end for stiffness.

Dropouts restructured for clearance with a wide range of disc brake calipers and built to take the extra force of a disc setup, like the RSP 4.0. Works with post mount and flat mount systems.

Bio Fit sizing: a wide size range so each rider can get the right fit for power output.

Integrated tapered head tube, 1-1/8" upper to 1.5" lower. Runs a tapered steerer fork, or a 1-1/8" steerer with a 1-1/8" to 1.5" crown race.

Press Fit bottom bracket shell: the bearings sit in cups that press into the frame, so there are no BB threads to damage.

Fully enclosed 10mm dropouts with an extra long axle slot (2.3" or 60mm) and a built-in alloy tensioner, so you can use the full length of the dropout.

Internal routing from the head tube through the down tube and bottom bracket, exiting at the chain stay (bottom of the down tube on small sizes). Protects the brake line and graphics from rub.
