Description
The Avian AR740 Carbon Wheelset is our top-of-range BMX race wheelset — built around the AR740 carbon hub system with your choice of Shimano or SRAM freehub driver. 24-spoke lacing, carbon rims front and rear. The AR740 hub uses a sealed cartridge bearing system with replaceable cartridges and an interchangeable driver design so you can switch between Shimano and SRAM/XDR standards without replacing the hub body.
At $1,499, this is a full race wheelset for riders competing at national and UCI level who want the same setup as the world's best BMX racers. Simon Marquart ran Avian gear when he won the Elite World Championship. We're not making that up.
