Chase RSP 5.0 Frame Slate / Red

The Chase RSP 5.0 is a BMX race frame in Slate / Red, built from hydroformed and butted 7005-T6 aluminum. It runs disc brakes only, with internal brake routing, enclosed 10mm dropouts with built-in tensioners and an aero seat tube. It comes in 20" sizes from Mini to Pro XXXL, OS20 sizes for bigger riders, and 24" cruiser sizes.

Features

• 7005-T6 SpeedLite aluminum, hydroformed to be oval in both directions in the main flex areas
• Triple-butted down tube and double-butted top tube; the triple butting cuts tube weight by 15% compared to the previous year's tubes
• Muscle-formed chain stays and seat stays for a stiff rear end
• Internal brake housing routing through the head tube, down tube and bottom bracket, exiting at the chain stay (bottom of the down tube on Mini, Junior and Expert); protects the housing and graphics from rub
• Fully enclosed dropouts with an extra long 2.3" (60mm) axle slot and built-in alloy tensioner, so the full length of the dropout is usable
• Dropouts restructured from the RSP 4.0 for more disc caliper clearance and built to take disc brake forces; post mount and flat mount compatible
• Aero seat tube, seat post and clamp system for improved aerodynamics and a slightly stiffer feel
• Tapered 1-1/8" to 1.5" head tube on Expert XL and larger: run a tapered steerer fork, or a 1-1/8" steerer with a 1-1/8" to 1.5" crown race
• Press Fit BB86 on Expert XL and larger: bearing cups press into the frame, with no BB threads to damage
• Bio Fit sizing across a wide size range

Fitment

• The rear dropouts take a standard 3/8" (10mm) BMX bolt-in axle. The axle bolts come out of the hub, go through the closed dropouts, then thread back into the hub.
• Disc brakes only, and an adapter is required. Elevn post mount and flat mount disc brake adapters were designed to work with these frames.
• OS20 frames require an OS20 fork for correct frame geometry and front tire clearance.

Please note: Brake fluid on paint that is not silicone-based can act like a paint thinner and eat away at the coating, causing it to peel. Do not let brake fluid touch any part of the bike, as it can cause significant damage to paint, decals and other materials.
