Chase Rsp 5.0 Os20 Frame Black / White

The Chase RSP 5.0 OS20 in Black / White is a 7005-T6 aluminum BMX race frame built around OS20 wheels and tires, offered here in OS Pro XXL and OS Pro XXXL for bigger, taller racers. Hydroformed, triple-butted tubing, a tapered integrated head tube, internal brake routing and a disc-only rear end set it apart.

SpeedLite alloy: 7005-T6 aluminum suited to Chase's hydroforming process, keeping the frame strong and the weight down.

Triple butting: three wall thicknesses along each tube, 15% lighter than last year's tubes. Lighter where it can be, stiffer where it needs to be.

Tapered tubing: multiple wall thicknesses in one tube, reinforced at stress points and thinner where extra material is not needed, for strength, low weight and fatigue life.

Hydroforming: the tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas, so they resist flex in both directions.

Aero: aero seat tube for a small aerodynamic gain and a slightly stiffer feel. When races are won by fractions of a second, it counts.

Muscle forming: chain stays and seat stays are formed in a special mold that sets the exact shape and wall thickness of the back end.

Disc brake: restructured dropouts clear a wide range of disc calipers and take the extra force of a disc brake, with post mount or flat mount.

Bio Fit sizing: the Chase size range is designed to give riders optimum power output.

Integrated tapered head tube: 1-1/8" upper and 1.5" lower diameter. Run a tapered steer tube fork, or a 1-1/8" steer tube with a headset that has a 1-1/8" to 1.5" fork race.

Press fit BB86: the bottom bracket bearings sit in cups that press into the frame, so there are no threads to damage.

Enclosed dropouts: fully enclosed 10mm dropouts with an extra long 2.3" (60mm) axle slot and a built-in alloy tensioner, so the full length of the dropout is usable.

Internal cable routing: from the head tube, through the down tube and bottom bracket, out of the chain stay (out of the bottom of the down tube on small sizes). The housing does not rub the frame, protecting the cable and graphics.
