Excess LSP Crankset

Product Overview

The Excess LSP is a two-piece crankset designed for BMX racing. Built with forged 6061-T6 aluminum arms and a 24mm chromoly spindle, it features a 104mm BCD four-bolt spider for chainring compatibility. The drive-side spindle is press-fit into the crank arm, and both arms include chromoly pedal thread inserts for increased durability.

• Chromoly pedal thread inserts – Steel inserts in both crank arms prevent thread wear and stripping from repeated pedal installation, extending crankarm lifespan

• 104mm BCD four-bolt spider – Standard four-bolt pattern accepts aftermarket chainrings from multiple manufacturers for gear ratio customization

• Five crank arm length options – Available in 165mm, 170mm, 175mm, 177.5mm, and 180mm to accommodate different rider heights and preferences

Compatibility and Ideal Use Cases

Designed for BMX race frames with press-fit 24mm bottom bracket shells. Requires a 24mm press-fit bottom bracket (sold separately). The 104mm BCD accepts standard four-bolt chainrings for easy gear ratio changes. Best suited for competitive racing across all age classes where riders need lightweight, durable cranks with common chainring compatibility. Chromoly pedal inserts provide long-term thread durability for riders who frequently swap pedals or apply high installation torque. Not compatible with threaded bottom brackets, one-piece cranks, three-piece systems, or non-24mm bottom bracket standards—verify frame bottom bracket spec before ordering.
