Description
INSIGHT 22.2MM STEM 1"
Product Overview
The Insight 22.2mm Stem is a forged and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum stem designed for 1" steerer tubes and standard 22.2mm handlebars. Featuring a top-load design with four 6mm stem bolts, single-piece top cap, and laser-etched logos, it offers 25mm rise and 30mm stack height. Available in 35mm or 40mm reach options.
Key Features
- Forged and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum – Forging process increases material density and strength before machining, creating a stronger stem compared to cast or standard machined designs
- Top-load clamp design – Handlebar clamps from the top with front-facing bolts, making bar installation and removal straightforward
- Four 6mm stem bolts – Multiple bolts provide secure, even clamping force on the handlebar
- Single-piece top cap – Integrated top cap design simplifies assembly and reduces hardware
- Laser-etched logos – Permanent graphics resist wear and fading compared to printed or anodized logos
- 25mm rise – Moderate upward angle raises handlebar position for a more upright riding posture

Compatibility and Ideal Use Cases
This stem is compatible with 1" threadless steerer tubes and standard 22.2mm BMX handlebars. Not compatible with 1-1/8", 1.5", or tapered steerer tubes, or oversized handlebars (25.4mm, 31.8mm). Works with headsets designed for 1" steerer tubes, typically found on Mini and Junior-size frames. Ideal for younger or smaller riders using 1" steerer tube frames who want a quality forged stem with moderate rise for a comfortable riding position. The 25mm rise provides more handlebar height than flat stems, suitable for riders who prefer a more upright posture. Choose reach based on rider size—35mm for shorter reach, 40mm for slightly extended positioning.
