Description
ODI DH Number Plate - Black
Product Overview
The ODI DH Number Plate is a downhill-specific number plate designed in collaboration with multiple-time World Cup DH Champion Aaron Gwin. Built from flexible fiber-reinforced polymer, this curved plate allows rear cables to be tucked behind for clean aesthetics and improved aerodynamics while maintaining full rider visibility. Installs via zip-ties (not included) using pre-configured grooves on fork stanchion tubes.
Key Features
- Curved design for cable management – Plate shape allows rear brake and derailleur cables to route behind the plate, hiding cables from view and reducing aerodynamic drag
- Low-profile construction – Slim design maintains full field of vision for the rider without blocking sight lines during aggressive descending or technical sections
- Flexible fiber-reinforced polymer – Durable but pliable material flexes to conform to fork stanchion tubes for secure mounting without cracking or breaking on impact
- Pre-configured zip-tie grooves – Molded channels on fork contact points simplify installation and ensure consistent, secure attachment
- Aaron Gwin collaboration – Design tested and refined by World Cup DH champion for real-world racing performance and durability
- Easy installation and removal – Zip-tie mounting (ties not included) allows quick plate changes for different races or numbers without tools beyond wire cutters

Compatibility and Ideal Use Cases
This number plate is designed specifically for downhill and enduro mountain bikes with suspension forks featuring stanchion tubes. It will NOT fit rigid forks, BMX forks, or forks without sufficient stanchion diameter to accommodate the plate's curve. The pre-configured zip-tie grooves are designed for standard downhill fork dimensions—verify compatibility with your specific fork model if using smaller travel or unique fork designs. Requires zip-ties for installation (not included)—use quality UV-resistant zip-ties rated for outdoor use; standard 4-6" cable ties typically work. Ideal for downhill racers, enduro competitors, and aggressive trail riders who want clean cable routing, improved aerodynamics, and professional race appearance. The curved design works best with bikes running rear brake and derailleur cables that can be routed behind the plate—bikes with internal cable routing or wireless drivetrains won't benefit from cable concealment feature. The flexible polymer construction withstands fork impacts and trail debris but should be inspected regularly for cracks or damage, especially after crashes or contact with obstacles.
